So a long time ago I got myself a Razer headset. I don't remember which one but I can tell you it was not fun. Because... no matter what... it... NEVER... worked.
Many years later (now), I got the HyperX Cloud Mini for Christmas. It didn't work. Now what do you do when a piece of hardware on your PC doesn't work?
- You throw a fit about it.
- You return it.
- You install drivers.
- All of the above.
The answer would USUALLY be 3. You install drivers. However, for god knows why, HyperX didn't make drivers. Or at least, drivers that a human being could find. The sequencing was: 3 (attempted), followed by 1 followed by 2 forming 4. (No, 3+1+2 does NOT equal 4. It equals 6. I know.)
Then I got the Logitech Zone 300. I trusted Logitech more because they're the kinds of people that would actually make drivers, right?
Turns out, no.
For the dumbest reason why, LOGITECH didn't make drivers. God, I don't know why in particular. My best guess is is that these companies assumed everything works out of the box. Wouldn't it be a shame if this wasn't the toy industry but was rather the computing industry. Because any tech enthusiast would know this:
"Almost nothing is plug-and-play in the computer world."
Because they JUST HAD TO not make drivers. WHY. You HAVE developers - why else would the plug and play work without developers? They can probably learn how to MAKE drivers. THEY PROBABLY HAVE ACCESS TO THE CODE. Why can't they?! I thought tech companies knew what the word "driver" was! I even saw somebody talk about the HyperX Cloud Mini, saying that they were EXPLAINING TO THE SUPPORT LADY WHAT A DRIVER WAS JUST TO FIND THE DRIVERS FOR THIS THING, ONLY FOR THE LADY TO ESSENTIALLY SAY "You have encountered a problem no one else in this universe has seen or heard before.". You-hew? Anybody here watch Michael MJD? You'd know nothing works out of the box if you watched him! He had to manually configure display drivers FROM. SAFE. MODE. (clip up to 16:45). LISTEN, HERE'S A CRAZY IDEA.

HOW 'BOUT THAT, HUH?!?!?!
